This month’s update brings exciting progress as clean water arrives for the first time in Las Mercedes KM11 and critical testing in La Merced moves the newest project forward. From ownership transfer to water source analysis, these steps are paving the way for lasting impact.

After two years of partnership, Las Mercedes KM11 has reached a major milestone—receiving a water tanker truck that is already delivering clean reliable water directly to families for the first time in their history! While progress towards the full water system continues, this truck marks the beginning of a new chapter of dignity, health, and hope for over 1,200 people.

In our August Project Update, VAVV shares exciting progress in our clean water initiatives. We've successfully negotiated a lower water rate for the community of Las Mercedes KM11, making it more accessible and sustainable. Additionally, we're moving closer to securing vital water rights for Cerro de Leones, setting the stage for further development. Discover the full update on our efforts in Peru.

These past few weeks, Vera Aqua Vera Vita has been growing in our connections to the University of Dallas. After tabling all over campus and spreading the mission, on Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2021, Vera Aqua Vera Vita got the opportunity to hold an informational session for the University of Dallas community. VAVV hopes this year sets a precedent for the type of engagement we have with UD down the line!

As North Texas (NTX) Giving Day 2021 shows itself on the horizon, Vera Aqua Vera Vita (VAVV) is making preparations and getting excited! September 23rd will mark the fourth year VAVV is participating in NTX Giving Day and this year, with your help, VAVV hopes to “Reach Further” than ever before!

Vera Aqua Vera Vita is excited to announce the formation of its newest legal partnership with a longstanding ally, the University of Dallas, hoping to continue and embellish our mutually beneficial relationship!

Two individuals who have coined themselves the “ami duet” have partnered with VAVV and developed child-friendly visualizations of the impact VAVV is having in Piura, following the fictional life of a young girl named Mayu. Learn about what life for Mayu and children like her is really like!

From the beginning, VAVV has strived to leverage partners to tell our story and the story of those we serve. Earlier this year, we were able to do just that by collaborating on a project that brought together skilled volunteers in the data community to visualize impact and tell stories for nonprofits using data.
