NTX Giving Day 2021: a VAVV Personal Record!

North Texas Giving Day 2021 has finally come to a close, raising $66 million for over 3,300 local non-profits. Vera Aqua Vera Vita would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who supported our mission to put the global water crisis in the history books! This year however, for NTX Giving, VAVV put something else in the history books: a personal record of raising $30,000 during this campaign!

Last year, we received $9,000 less, raising only $21,000 for NTX Giving Day. Though this year, we only reached 75% of our $40,000 goal, NTX Giving Day 2021 has been a huge success for Vera Aqua Vera Vita - all thanks to you!

Midnight on September 23rd marked the end of public giving, but not before 47 donors showed their love and support, raising $10,000 in public donations! We’d like to especially shout out the seven people who set up FUNdraising pages, which contributed a total of $400.

A majority of our donations came from our generous matching donors. Even though we did not reach our goal of $20,000 in public donations, they donated the entire match anyway, giving us the boost of an additional $10,000!

This $30,000 will not go to waste - our donations from NTX Giving Day will go directly back to our local Texas community. Through active outreach to parishes, universities, and other organizations, Vera Aqua Vera Vita seeks to grow in its connection with North Texas to rally local communities to make a change in the future of our world. Not only will these donations allow us to gather support for our projects overseas, but it will also allow us to help people understand the importance of spiritual health and the importance of water, both in Peru and right here in our backyard!

Hoping to break ground on construction on two projects in the first to second quarter of next year, this successful fundraising campaign could not have come at a better time for our organization - we need all the help we can get to make that become a reality for the people of La Mercedes KM11 and Cerro de Leones.

Our deepest appreciation goes out to all those who supported our mission and helped us make history this NTX Giving Day!
