We are thrilled to share an exciting progress update on the Las Mercedes KM11 Clean Water Solution project in Piura. With each passing day, we are one step closer to transforming the lives of the community and creating a lasting impact.

This October, the Vera Aqua Vera Vita Planning and Engineering team has been persevering in coordination with authorities in Piura, Peru to secure final approval for water rights, power supply, and use of the Pan-American highway Right of Way (ROW) for the waterline crossing for Las Mercedes KM11’s clean water project.

Over the past two months, VAVV’s active projects have seen so much progress towards bringing sustainable, clean-water solutions to new communities in Piura, Peru! Read about the Planning & Engineering team’s design process, and what we’ll produce once it’s finished.

This May, Vera Aqua Vera Vita presents to its supporters for the 4th year in a row the Annual Speakeasy Fundraiser, May 14, benefiting the Mission of Vera Aqua Vera Vita and giving True Water True Life! You’ll never forget the feelings, friends, and fun you’ll have in a night full of drinks, dancing, music, magic, auction, talent, and so much more, all to benefit the mission to bring True Water True Life to the people of Piura, Peru.

Last month in Peru, Vera Aqua Vera Vita made significant developments on our two active projects; not only have we reached completion on the necessary environmental studies, but we’ve also solidified partial funding for our projects in partnership with the Piura Regional Government. We’ve also taken steps so that when our Missionaries arrive on ground next week, they’ll have everything they need to break ground on construction! Get the full scoop here.

As Vera Aqua Vera Vita closed out the year of 2021, our projects in Piura have seen an important shift in development! The year of 2021 saw so much project progress, but we know that 2022 can only hold greater things for the holistic health of the people of Piura!

This month, for the first time in our organization’s history, we got to send Ricardo Arbulu, VAVV’s Director of Projects and Programs, to our active projects in Piura, Peru! Vera Aqua Vera Vita has been hard at work throughout the end of September and October. Though we’re still over 5 months away from starting construction, logistics are well underway for project solutions for both Cerro de Leones and Las Mercedes KM11!

As the engineering team working non-stop to get everything in order to break ground on construction in early 2022, the two Piura projects have seen a lot of progress since our last update. With geophysical assessments having been completed and topographic evaluations underway, we hope the upcoming weeks hold even more progress and development!

With more than half of 2021 under the belt, Vera Aqua Vera Vita (VAVV) has some exciting developments to report on the two communities in Piura where Water and Sanitation Hygiene (W.A.S.H.) planning and engineering commenced in June!

Throughout the month of July, VAVV has been coordinating with and contracting consultants to help with the preliminary solution plan for both Cerro de Leones and La Mercedes KM11 and has made significant progress!

We’re excited to bring sustainable solutions to these two communities, working closely with local government agencies, contractors/consultants, and individuals to empower the people to become owners of the solutions for their own community.
