W.A.S.H. Planning and Engineering Commenced!
Working primarily in Piura now, the future of Vera Aqua Vera Vita (VAVV) is in serving seven new communities down the line, bringing water to thousands of people for generations to come! Currently, all efforts are being channeled to serve two of these seven communities: Cerro de Leones and Las Mercedes KM11. The hope in serving only two communities instead of all seven at once is that by narrowing the spread of resources, each community’s issues and difficulties will be solved in the most effective and efficient way possible.
VAVV is proud to announce the commencement of planning and engineering for both Cerro de Leones and Las Mercedes!
A team of dedicated engineers, lawyers, and volunteers are now meeting to collaborate to bring safe water solutions to fit these communities’ specific needs and issues. This team will use the collected data, from comprehensive community assessment surveys and water quality testing to help plan and engineer solutions that will be sustainable for generations to come. The team has already compiled a shortlist of solutions for the two communities and is currently working on a master schedule, detailed plans, preliminary permitting, design standards/specifications, and conceptual design of the solutions.
VAVV is joyfully excited to bring sustainable solutions to these communities, working with local government agencies like the Piura Regional Government, contractors/consultants, and champions in the communities to not only integrate solutions into their economic and communal frameworks, but for the solutions to be inspired from within and by the people leading to empowerment as the local people become owners of the systems and solutions implemented!
