After two years of partnership, Las Mercedes KM11 has reached a major milestone—receiving a water tanker truck that is already delivering clean reliable water directly to families for the first time in their history! While progress towards the full water system continues, this truck marks the beginning of a new chapter of dignity, health, and hope for over 1,200 people.

Today, Nov. 3, 2020 marks the exciting commencement of Vera Aqua Vera Vita’s (VAVV) efforts to officially begin serving seven new communities in the Piura Region of Peru. The assessment phase of the project implementation process gets underway today.

After great success serving the community of Monte Castillo with the installation of a water treatment facility among other sustainable W.A.S.H. initiatives, VAVV now lends a much-needed hand to seven new communities within the Piura Region.

Beginning on October 1, Peru has begun Phase IV of their plans to reopen the country and reactivate the economy with the allowing of International Flights being one of the biggest changes occurring… This is, also, good news for Vera Aqua Vera Vita and our mission to bring the gift of True Water True Life to the people of Peru…

As of July 1st, the situation in Peru is beginning to improve. The COVID-19 induced quarantine in Peru is over, and now after 107 days of strict restrictions, the Peruvians can go back out onto the streets as normal.
