Oct 2023 PSU: New Team and Engineering Kickoff!

October has been a month filled with significant strides and exciting developments as we continue our journey to bring clean and sustainable water solutions to the communities we serve. We're thrilled to share the latest updates on our projects and the addition of new volunteers who are contributing their expertise and passion to our cause.

Las Mercedes KM11: Progressing with Right of Easements

Our clean water project in Las Mercedes KM11 is advancing, thanks to the diligent efforts of our team and the support of our partners. This month, the Piura Regional Government (GRP) and our representative in Piura collaborated to meet with the President of Caja Piura. This meeting will begin essential conversations to ensure the full and permanent right of easement through 10 different properties. These easements are essential as they allow us to run a pipeline under their property. This pipeline will serve as the lifeline for pumping clean water into the heart of Las Mercedes KM11. The fruitful discussions during this meeting bring us one step closer to ensuring a seamless flow of clean water into the community.

Cerro de Leones: Planning & Engineering Kickoff Meeting

We are excited to report that we’ve restarted the Cerro de Leones clean water project and it’s gaining momentum! To kickstart the project, we held our Planning and Engineering kickoff meeting last week. During this meeting, we had the pleasure of meeting the new full team that will be instrumental in the preliminary design of the clean water solution for Cerro de Leones. Our journey begins with a comprehensive hydrological analysis of the proposed water source, a river located roughly 1 kilometer away from the community. This initial step is crucial in ensuring a sustainable, reliable source of clean water for Cerro de Leones.

Welcoming New Volunteers to the VAVV Family

We are thrilled to introduce three new dedicated volunteers who have joined our mission to make a positive impact through clean water solutions. Meet Alan Dunn, Tasha Neel, and Derek Cheatham below!

Hear from Our Volunteers: Why VAVV?

As we welcome these incredible individuals to our VAVV family, we asked them a simple yet profound question: "Why do you want to volunteer with Vera Aqua Vera Vita?" Here's what they had to say:

As we venture into November, our dedication to providing clean water solutions remains unwavering. We're grateful for the support of our partners, the commitment of our team, and the passion of our volunteers. Together, we are on a mission to create a world where clean water is accessible to all.
