Jacob Niemeier Featured in CEO Weekly
We're excited to share that VAVV Founder Jacob Niemeier is the subject of a new feature published by CEO Weekly, tracing the moment in Haiti that set him on the path to founding Vera Aqua Vera Vita.
The article follows Jacob's journey from a water resources engineering student at Purdue to a licensed Professional Engineer, and from there to building VAVV into a clean water nonprofit rooted in engineering rigor and community ownership. It walks through the four-year journey to commission the water treatment plant in Monte Castillo, Peru, and the dramatic drop in water-related illness that followed, and looks ahead to VAVV's active projects across rural Peru, including the community of Las Mercedes KM11.
The piece also explores how Jacob's Catholic faith and his engineering background move together throughout VAVV's mission, and outlines what's next: reaching a $100,000 fundraising milestone that would allow VAVV to hire its first dedicated field engineer, and take on two to three more clean water projects at once.
We're grateful for the chance to share the story of True Water, True Life with CEO Weekly's audience, and we invite you to read the full feature.
