#GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past nine years, this idea has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity. This year, Vera Aqua Vera Vita joins a long list of non-profits to embrace this movement. We pledge that 100% of the donations will go directly to funding our projects in Piura, Peru, providing clean water and sanitation measures to these communities which greatly need our help. Every $50 you give will provide access to clean water for one person in these communities for the rest of their lives. Our Goal for this Campaign is $10,000. Yes, you read that right… $10,000! This goal may seem unattainable, but thanks to the generosity of a few donors we have a $5,000 matching challenge fund to help us achieve success!
Will you help us hit our goal? With your support we will be enabled to provide clean water for 200 people in the Piura Region of Peru for generations to come. We are in the initial stages of serving 7 rural communities consisting of 2,054 people where we will bring access to clean water and sanitation services in the coming months and years ahead. Preliminary, high-level, estimates indicate that it will take us around $100,000 to serve all 7 of these communities with access to life-giving and sustainable clean water services!
