Annual Lenten Solidarity Challenge 2021

Lenten Gallon Challenge - Rev.1.png

Right now, around the world there are nearly 1 Billion people living without access to a clean and proper supply of water. Many of these survive with less than 1-gallon (~4-liters) of water every day! As a part of your Lenten penance this year, Vera Aqua Vera Vita challenges you to live on 1-gallon or less of water for an entire day!

Here is what you need to do:

  1. Choose a Friday, multiple Fridays, or every Friday during Lent to partake in the challenge.

  2. Fill an empty 1-gallon milk jug with water.

  3. Use that 1-gallon of water conservatively for ALL of your personal water needs that day including but not limited to drinking, showering, washing hands, cooking, cleaning, etc.

  4. Create a short video either in the morning before you begin the challenge or at night once you have completed the challenge & post on your personal Facebook, Twitter, and/or Instagram with the following:

***Be sure to make your video personal and fun!

TOGETHER let's be in SOLIDARITY with our less fortunate brothers and sisters lacking access to clean and proper water supply and help spread awareness about Vera Aqua Vera Vita's important mission to empower those in need!
