Give Water, Give Life — This NTX Giving Day!
With North Texas Giving Day right around the corner, Vera Aqua Vera Vita is thrilled to announce two main impactful initiatives that NTX Giving Day bolsters and supports, aimed at raising awareness for global water inequality and providing tangible aid to those in need. These programs – the Care Package Service Projects and Educational Collaborations – reflect VAVV's ongoing commitment to improving access to clean water and promoting sustainable solutions to water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) issues. None of these programs would be possible without a successful North Texas Giving Season! Join Vera Aqua Vera Vita this September to raise $40,000 for our local and international impact programs!
Care Package Service Projects
The VAVV staff partners with local parish communities, especially church youth groups, to host Care Package Service Projects. These events are designed to educate participants about the severity of the global water crisis and the harsh realities faced by billions of people who lack access to clean water. Through hands-on activities, volunteers compose care packages containing essential hygiene items such as soap, shampoo, chlorine tablets for water purification, toothpaste, and toothbrushes.
Two years ago, Vera Aqua Vera Vita was able to deliver about 400 care packages to local communities in need. But thanks to a huge success NTX Giving Day last year, VAVV has successfully created and distributed over 750 care packages this past year! Each were hand-delivered to individuals and families in need during their annual mission trip to Monte Castillo, Peru. There, volunteers witnessed firsthand the life-changing impact of these simple yet essential items.
Educational Collaborations with Local Schools
In addition to Care Package Service Projects, VAVV expands its efforts to raise awareness about the global water crisis through strategic collaborations with local high schools and colleges. These partnerships aim to educate students about the critical issues surrounding water access and sustainability while encouraging them to take action.
Through classroom presentations, participation in school clubs, and support for student-led environmental preservation initiatives, VAVV is empowering the next generation to become advocates for global water equity. One notable effort includes mobilizing Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) residents and families to join VAVV's annual mission trip, where they can directly contribute to sustainable water projects.
The growth of these programs is dependent on the success of VAVV’s NTX Giving Day Fundraiser. With Early Giving starting on Sept. 1 and culminating on North Texas Giving Day 20224, Sept 19th, we hope to raise enough support to not only continue but bolster these programs! Give with Purpose this NTX Giving Day and support VAVV’s programs to mobilize people and address local and international water challenges! Join Vera Aqua Vera Vita for the most impactful NTX Giving Day yet.
