Annual Speakeasy Has Come So Far: Bringing Clean Water To Peru
Vera Aqua Vera Vita (VAVV) has come a long way since its first annual Speakeasy Gala. The first year saw the organization breaking ground on a clean water project for the rural Peruvian community of Monte Castillo, with the gala raising $5,000. Now, VAVV is working on securing funding for its second clean water system, and the 5th Annual Speakeasy Fundraiser is set to raise $40,000 to bring clean water to 800+ people in Peru.
The event promises to be bigger and better than ever before, with everything guests know and love about Speakeasies. There will be booze and smooth jazz, with guests having an opportunity to get their own bottle of booze by partaking in the wine and liquor pull. Those who prefer something different can cast a bid in the online silent auction or buy Golden (Raffle) Tickets to be eligible for the grand prize(s).
The best part is that 100% of the proceeds raised from the evening will go towards providing people around the world with access to clean water and improved sanitation. Guests can support the Speakeasy as a sponsor and thus become a champion for those without clean water, receiving special perks for doing so.
The event will feature a cocktail hour, a plated dinner, live jazz music, and swing dancing. The theme is Roaring Twenties/Speakeasy, with attendees encouraged to dress accordingly. The keynote speaker is Dwight Riskey, founder of Riskey Business Solutions/Strop Insights. He spent 25 years at PepsiCo in a wide variety of leadership roles, most recently as Chief Marketing Officer for three PepsiCo divisions including FritoLay USA, FritoLay International, and PepsiCo Restaurants International.
The event will also feature Ryan Harkins as Master of Ceremonies, and Matt Lampe, Owner & Veterinarian at Absolute Equine, as a testimonial witness. All guests can enjoy the Speakeasy theme, with plenty of opportunities for activities and swing dance.
