October 2026 Project Status Update: Correcting the Paperwork So the Water Can Flow
October was a month of careful, essential paperwork across all three active projects. In Las Mercedes KM11, the JASS re-submitted its Public Records registration after corrections, with contractor hiring now targeted for late November. In Las Mercedes, the full legal package to amend the public deed came together. In Totoral Bajo, technical work continued toward the survey and water rights submission. Read the full update!

This May, VAVV reports major progress in two rural communities. The purchase of a Water Tanker Truck is being prepared, setting the stage for clean water delivery for one and we’ve taken important steps forward in water source testing to determine the best long-term solution for the other!

May PSU: Securing Water Rights
Our Planning and Engineering team, in collaboration with local governance, is diligently compiling all the necessary documentation to show the positive impact that our clean water project will bring to the Las Mercedes KM11 community. While this may require additional time and patience, we are confident in the impact of our project proposal and we are optimistic about the outcome.
