RIPPLES FOR HOPE: Let's Multiply These Results!
As we approach the end of the year, we reflect on the incredible journey of our Ripples for Hope fundraiser— a mission to raise $72,000 in recurring donations with our end of year goal to get to the $48,000 mark. This initiative aims to hire a new engineer and extend our reach to serve 2-3 more communities annually, providing them with empowerment and access to clean water.
Impact in Monte Castillo: A Glimpse of Transformation
Let's revisit Monte Castillo, a community we served with clean water over four years ago. Before our intervention, only 30% of the community treated their water, and a staggering 84% reported chronic waterborne illnesses despite sometimes traveling long distances to gather water and paying unreasonable prices for water to be delivered to their homes that was both unreliable in supply & quality .

Health Improvements
Chronic waterborne illnesses plummeted from 84% to an astonishingly low ~13%. Now, ~87% of the community is free from all waterborne diseases.
Positive Impact
11.35% reported minimal to moderate positive impact, while a staggering 88.65% reported high to very high impact. We improved the lives of 100% of Monte Castillo's population with our clean water solution!
Accessibility
Where 86% once had to travel for water, now 100% have access to a clean water source within their community.
Educational Opportunities
Children attend more hours of school, with 87% never missing a single hour, contributing to a brighter future.
Time and Productivity
Without the stress of finding clean water, community members have more time for work and household tasks. Remarkably, 68% report no longer losing time due related to water.

These transformative impacts are what we aspire to replicate in more communities facing similar challenges. In the region of Piura, Peru, we've identified the top 7 communities with urgent water needs through surveys and assessments. And now we have the opportunity to empower them with clean water 2 to 3 times faster! However, we cannot achieve this without your support.
