Fourth Quarter of 2024 Executive Director Message

“Hello Vera Aqua Vera Vita Family!

 Joy to the World, the savior reigns! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! I cannot believe 2024 is nearly over. Can you? The fourth quarter of this year went by in a blur, and personally, it has been a very challenging yet blessed past few months. On the home front, on November 9th my wife Fernanda and I had the blessing of welcoming our newborn son into the world outside the womb only to discover immediately upon his birth that he was barely breathing, and his heart rate was plummeting. He had to be resuscitated by the medical team at the hospital and rushed to the NICU where he was, essentially, put on life support. It was a very scary and heart-wrenching time for us, but by the Grace of God, the power of hundreds (possibly thousands) of people praying, and the incredible medical staff at the hospital, our little “Miracle” Michael Augustine Niemeier (M.A.N.) was able to come home, mostly fully healthy, after 17-days in the NICU. This experience and the subsequent adjustments to sleepless nights and being outnumbered by children in our home since bringing him home have marked a very busy and tiring end to the year, but praise God, we wouldn’t have it any other way!  All that being said, with trials often come hidden or in this case, not so hidden blessings which has definitely been the case for the mission of Vera Aqua Vera Vita because while things have been challenging on the home front, we have been gifted with abundant blessings for VAVV….”
