Vera Aqua Vera Vita's Third Annual Fundraiser provides an opportunity to celebrate the work we've accomplished together in the past 4 years!
This year's event is going Virtual, but this Virtual event will be unlike any other you have attended! Help us hit our $30,000 Fundraising Goal and bring the Gift of True Water True Life to 600 People in Peru!
This event will still have the two most important parts of a Speakeasy: the booze and the jazz. Get your own bottle of booze by participating in the wine & liquor pull or if that is not your style then cast a bid in our online auction, or buy a few raffle tickets to be eligible for our grand prize(s).
If you join the Live, Interactive Virtual Event via Zoom you will be eligible for additional prize(s) and get to enjoy the perk of live interaction with other attendees. At the very least, actively watch the live stream and pay close attention to keywords dropped by our Emcee and participate in a post event survey whilst submitting the keywords to be eligible for a prize.
Finally, to cap it all off we will be serenaded by the Jazzy tunes of the Dave Washburn Three Quarters Fast Jazz Band!
Of course, the best part is 100% of the proceeds raised from our evening will go toward providing our brothers and sisters in Peru and around the world with access to clean water & improved sanitation! Right now we are focused on serving people in the Piura Region of Peru.

Sit back and enjoy your evening with the keynote speaker: Revernd Joseph Uhen, Pastor of Santisimo Sacramento Mission Center in Piura, Peru as he shares with you his testimony, mission, and journey to serve the needy in the country of Peru.
Reverend Joseph Uhen, known as Father Joe (or Padre Jose), arrived in Piura, Peru 28 years ago, and with his dedication to the Church, his jovial character, and keen skills of organization he has been able to humbly accomplish much work in service of the people in his Parish and the larger Piura region.
From completing an unfinished sanctuary to quickly expanding services throughout Piura for women needing shelter, equipping families in emergency supplies, providing a medical facility for the terminally ill, developing a rehabilitation for alcoholics, and so much more, Father Joe has truly been a blessing to the Piura community. Ricardo Arbulu Guerra, Testimonial Witness
Vera Aqua Vera Vita recently welcomed Ricardo Arbulu Guerra to the team, where he now serves as the Director of Peru Projects & Programs. On May 20th during the event, he will speak about how as a Peruvian he has a firm understanding and brings first-hand experience to understanding water issues faced by the poor in developing countries.
Ricardo says it has inspired him to bring clean water solutions in a comprehensive and sustainable way to numerous Peruvian communities in need. Read more

Vera Aqua Vera Vita welcomes Jeff Schiefelbein as the Master of Ceremonies for our event. You will hear Jeff’s voice throughout the evening event introducing our inspirational speakers & engaging entertainers and simply just engaging with the audience during the online virtual event. He may even announce winners of some great prizes and awards!

Dave Washburn Jazz Band, The Jazzy Ensemble
If you love music, particularly jazz and swing, you will love the Dave Washburn Jazz Band. And their music is perfect for our VIRTUAL “An Evening At A Speakeasy” on May 20. The band played at the 2019 Vera Aqua Vera Vita “Speakeasy” and was a great hit and had our guests swing dancing and swaying to the jazz music.
The Dave Washburn Jazz Band is a traditional New Orleans-style group playing hot jazz, swing, and Dixieland, and Big Band tunes and so much more. You might also hear some “Frank Sinatra-style “croon tunes,” an Elvis or Chuck Berry song or maybe even a polka or two, especially around Oktoberfest season.
The band plays many venues in the Metroplex including weddings, corporate & private events, swing dances, parades, State Fair of Texas, and even some jazz funerals.
But the band also provides music for smaller, quieter settings such as a special dinner, a cocktail hour or a brunch. Wherever you go the trio or quartet looks to create a classy, jazzy ambience for the occasion from “soft & sweet” to NOLA “Bourbon Street.” Learn more
