March Madness and thus the VAVV Bracket Challenge Fundraiser being cancelled is just one of many unfortunate side effects for Vera Aqua Vera Vita because of the COVID-19 Pandemic. However, maybe it is just us, but we don't want the excitement and fun of March Madness to be over so quickly. Thus, we are proposing the idea of doing a "Virtual March Madness" Bracket Challenge to bring a little levity and communal joy.
Virtual Event Format: Join us on Wednesday evening, April 8th from 6:30-8:30pm for the Live Virtual Event which will be in the form of a conference call where a bracket filled out by Executive Director Jacob Niemeier will be revealed live round by round to tunes of exciting pump up music and oohs and awws from the participants. Invitations to the Conference Call will be sent to those that sign-up to participate! The winner will be determined in comparison to Jacob's Bracket by the traditional March Madness round-by-round point system. The prize will still be a $100 Gift Card!
How to Participate: We have decided that for the virtual event efforts to be worth your and our time, we need a minimum of 20 people to participate. If you would like to participate then please these steps:
Step 1: Fill out & submit this form by Wednesday, April 8th to participate!
Step 2: Fill-out your Bracket(s) courtesy of the New York Post.
Step 3: Either submit your bracket(s) in the form or email them to jniemeier@veraaquaveravita.org
Step 4: Make a donation $15 per bracket for up to 10 Brackets for your brackets right here.
Step 5: Mark your calendar for Wednesday, April 8th at 6:30-8:30pm then wait to receive an email inviting you to the Virtual Event.
Step 6: Invite your friends and family to join the Challenge.
Step 7: Rest easy knowing that your support is helping Vera Aqua Vera Vita serve those. in need without access to clean water and proper sanitation services!
*The winner will be determined in comparison to our Executive Director's, Jacob's, "Final" Bracket by the traditional March Madness round-by-round point system. The prize will still be a $100 Gift Card. The winner will be announced on the Vera Aqua Vera Vita Facebook Page and they will be notified via email or phone of how to collect their $100 Gift Card Prize!!!
